TUMC MISSIONS

We are a "mission-minded" church.

Currently we support two United Methodist missionaries in a covenant relationship.

We support missions locally and overseas.

Several of our members participate in or lead community-wide service activities.

Make Money for your Favorite Charity

While Searching the Internet

Check out this search engine. www.goodsearch.com I've been using for a year and a half, as have a few others in the church. Why? you may ask. Two reasons: Every time you search the GoodSearch site donates about a penny to your non-profit organization. That's not much but there's power in numbers. Most of us don't  realize how many searches we do in a day, or a month. Just the three or four of us have raised $46 on searches. Imagine getting everyone in the congregation using GoodSearch... Better yet, they offer GoodShop. By going to hundreds of Internet vendors through GoodShop, those merchants will donate a portion of your purchase price to your non-profit (it is a finder fee paid for by the merchant). We bought $400 of AV equipment for the band and got $13 back. I about fell over when my in-laws bought all their kitchen appliances at Sears without telling me. It was thousands of dollars, and had I gone online and had the Sears store hold their purchase till they got there, it would have counted, and raised over $200 for the church.   Ross Gidcumb

Crop Walk

This years' CROP Walk was a great success. We had 21 walkers, more than in recent years and more than any of the Morton churches. Thanks to your generosity with the junior high bake sales and the senior high brunch, plus those who supported Pastor Chet and Lynn, we raised $1238 for hunger projects, including our own Tremont Food Pantry.
